It is with heavy hearts that we have to say goodbye to Alan Courtland Tarr.

Alan passed away on July 30, 2021 with his family at his side.  Alan was born and raised in Kaslo in 1946.

Alan is survived by his wife Cindy of 37 years and their children Tyler (Meg) and Ashley and grandson Leo.

Alan is also survived by his children from his first wife Darlene, sons Marvin (Karen), Court (Theresa) and daughter Tracy (Rob), grandchildren Nolin, Devin, Brittany, Shelby, Caleb, Lena,
Connor, Hanna and Michelle.

Alan is also survived by his brother Mel (Darlene), sisters Lorraine and Mary Lou and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents Court and Lena Tarr.

For anyone that knew Alan he was a gentle, caring and loving man with a contagious laugh that is going to be sorely missed.  He loved fishing, hunting, gardening and just being in the outdoors with his favorite two dogs Loki and Bella.

The family would like to thank Dr. Phillip Malpass and Dr. Katie Foreman and the nursing staff from the oncology department at the Kootenay Lake Hospital in Nelson and the staff at the BC Cancer Agency in Kelowna.

The family would like to thank doctors Smit, Musaji and Guillemette and the nursing staff from the Kaslo Victorian Hospital for the excellent care that Alan received.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the Victorian Hospital of Kaslo Auxilary Society at PO Box 607, Kaslo, BC  V0G 1M0 or to a charity of their choice.

Cremation has taken place.  There will be a celebration of life on August 28, 2021 at the Kaslo Legion Hall at 1 pm.
