Anton Kolesnikoff
April 29, 1991 - March 26, 2017
Tribute
.
Anton was born in Nelson, BC to George and Fionna Kolesnikoff on April 29, 1991. He grew up with his older brother Kris and younger sister Lena. He spent most of his childhood in Pass Creek, playing in the woods, enjoying nature and the animals there.
He attended school in Castlegar and graduated from Stanley Humphries Secondary School in 2010. While at Stanley Humphries, he worked at Kalesnikoff
Lumber Company Ltd. and Kootenay Centre Cinemas. Immediately after graduation, he was accepted by Vancouver Film School and graduated with a diploma in film production. Financial pressure forced him back to the Kootenays where he worked for Selkirk College and Morrison Insulation Ltd.
A vehicle accident detoured his plans for an eventual role in the film industry. A very difficult period in his life followed, with many challenges to face.
As quickly as he could be, he was employed again, working for Kootenay Lakeview Spa Resort and Event Centre.
His hopes to someday return to the film industry ended on March 26th, 2017.
Anton’s genuine caring demeanor made him friends wherever he went. He was diligent in his duties from childhood to the end.
Anton was predeceased by his grandfather, John Stoochnoff and his grandmother Molly Stoochnoff.
He will be lovingly remembered by his grandfather Max Kolesnikoff, grandmother Ann Kinakin, Father and Mother, George and Fionna, his brother Kris (Karissa), sister Lena, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life was held in Nelson on April 8, 2017.
We would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support during this difficult time.

So sorry to hear of your loss. It’s the little things, the small, everyday occurrences that you’ll remember. The laughs, the stories, the smiles. And even though it seems like you can never recover from your loss, it is these very memories that will help push the pain away and bring back the smiles
Thinking of you XOXO

Relation: Friends since Kindergarten
Anton, my quiet artistic handsome friend. I was heartbroken to hear the news and even more upset that i havent talked to you since highschool. we were very close since we met in kindergarten. I remember kids would give you a hard time because you were quiet and artistic, but as we grew up and got into highschool things seemed to smooth out. I still remember when you moved into town from pass creek. that was the best thing ever ! i still remember which house it is.
I miss you anton. Lossing you has only made me realize how much i need a friend like you in my adult life. i love you xox
