Barbara was born and raised in Dawson Creek, B.C. The daughter of Ralph and Ruth Juell who farmed land in the country at Doe River B.C. Barbara was from a large family of 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

Barbara married Robert Johnson and the couple had 56 years of happily married life; they have 2 sons Glen and wife Shelley and Grandson Ryan of  Nelson B.C and Lloyd and wife Melissa and daughter Lauren of Cranbrook B.C.

From a previous marriage, Lloyd has 2 sons, Travis of Grand forks and Jason of Cranbrook B.C, and a daughter, Emma of Grand Forks. Barb was predeceased by her Mom and Dad, and brothers Leslie and Leonard and sister Kathleen and husband Henry Wendt.

Barbara will be missed by her loving husband, children, grandchildren, and sisters Ethel and husband Dan Dyck of Doe River, B.C, and Clara Wickland of Gunn, Alberta, Iona and Garry Yorga of West Kelowna, Roy and Mildred Juell, of Dawson Creek, Clarence and Faith Juell, of Salmon arm, B.C. Art and Marlene Juell of Pritchard B.C, and all the friends across B.C.

Barbara enjoyed cooking, sewing, donating time, playing bass guitar for seniors and music jams at Lakeside Park, and was overjoyed with the company of grandchildren and one great granddaughter Leona from Salt Spring Island. Barbara enjoyed her life in Nelson, B.C since May 1973.

There will be no funeral, as cremation was Barbara’s choice, and it is being arranged by Thompson Funeral Service in Nelson B.C. A celebration of life is being considered at a later date. In lieu of flower or gifts donations in her name can be made to the Kootenay Lake Hospital.

In remembrance of a great lady, Mother and Grandmother – forever in God’s hands.
