Tribute
Don was born in Kimberely and lived in B.C. all his life except for a short stint in the air force in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where he met his wife, Jean. Don and Jean moved to the West Kootenays and then to Kaslo, where they have lived for the past 46 years. Don worked much of his life in the forest industry, starting with horse logging with his dad while in his teens and ending with operating a grader on logging roads throughout the Kootenays. He loved the outdoors – camping, hiking and fishing. He loved getting together with his family – David and Lori, Cheryl and Paul, Craig and Carmen and Glen, as well as nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
