Evhan Edward Shupenia
1940 – 2021
It is with sadness that the family of Evhan “Ed” Shupenia announce his passing on October 12, 2021 in Nelson, BC. He was born on April 26, 1940 in Tofield, AB.
Evhan is survived by niece Kathy and her children Richard and Katrina (Liam); nephew Brian(Wendy) and their children Tanya (Bob) and David. Also survived by two great great nieces and one great great nephew.
He was predeceased by his parents Metro and Ecaterina, and sisters Mary (Ole), Martha (Colin) and Nancy.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will occur at a later date. Burial to take place in Tofield, AB. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

I was so sorry to learn of Eddy’s death in today’s issue of The Mercury. Although we hadn’t seen each other since Mary’s funeral, we were close friends earlier, growing up together as neighbours. Sympathy to Kathy, Brian and their families.
