Tribute

Florence Victoria Carlson was born in Phoenix, British Columbia to Louis and Ellen Carlson on June 27, 1919. Florence was the youngest of four children.
When Florence was a young child the Carlson family moved to Blewett where she attended Blewett School.
Florence met George Turner and they married in Wells, BC in the 1930’s.
Florence and George lived in Hedley, Power River before moving to Nelson.
They had three sons, Eric, Karl and Randy.
Florence is predeceased by her husband George in 1978, her parents, sisters Sissy and Frieda, brother Everet, and companions Ken and Si.
Florence is survived by her three sons, six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Florence really enjoyed travelling, camping and fishing. She loved collecting souvenirs from wherever her travels took her.
Florence’s love for animals was evident with her cows, numerous cats and dogs, the wild turkey who moved in, the deer in the field, Randy’s pet skunk who lived in a bird cage in the kitchen, the geese raised on the top of the fridge, and in the recent years with Feefee and Snoopy, her Jack Russell terriers. She was fascinated with wolves, buying every book, calendar and mug she came across.
