Harry moved to Richmond BC in 1952 with all his children, where he was a milkman until he started with the BC liquor control board where he worked until he retired.  He transferred to Nelson BC in June of 1966 where he met Winnifred Valcourt in 1969 and married Feb 14 1974.

He enjoyed working with his horses by training them and taking everyone for a ride in his buggies. He often went to horse shows.  He also enjoyed bowling for many years. Sunday was a day for drives around the area and if anyone came to visit they where included in these excursions.  He and Winnie liked to travel as long as it was by ground.

Harry always had a quick wit that sometimes-surprised people, but always made them smile. He was quiet and unpresuming most of the time, staying in the background letting others take the lime light but he had his moments when he came out with zingers.
