Tribute
It is with great sadness the family of John Sorenson announces his passing on December 10, 2019. John was born in Rossland BC. on September 4, 1932 to Viggo and Magda Sorenson. He was predeceased by his parents and sister Carol Gergely.
John worked for Kay Motors in Trail, BC. for 16 years. He moved to Elkford where he worked as a heavy-duty mechanic for Fording Coal. He was a volunteer firefighter for 10 years. He enjoyed curling, golfing and cards with ‘The Gang’. He always had a smile for everyone and loved to dance.
John is survived by his wife of 65 years Arlene, sons; Dwayne (Wendy), Darren (Renee), daughters Darcel (Mel), Denise (Bob), five grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
As per John’s request, there will be no service.

We are sad to hear of the passing of Mr. S. I have some great memories of his never ending smile and laugh, of course his amazing dancing!! I had of few with him back in the day at curling events. Rest in peace John and thoughts and prayers to the whole famly. He will be missed.
