Obituary

Daley, Kirk Ellis Hamilton

It is with great sorrow that the family of Kirk Ellis Hamilton Daley announces his sudden passing on April 1, 2019 at the age of 50.

Born April 11, 1968 in Truro, NS, eldest son of Mary Karen Gillis and the late Gerald Ellis Daley. This is where he grew up and met his future wife Heidi in 1987. In 1990 he attended Sir Sanford Fleming College in Lindsay, ON graduating with a Forestry Technician Diploma. He then moved to Nelson, BC with Heidi in 1993 where he began his forestry career, taking pride in starting his own company working alongside his brother Kent.

He enjoyed his time in the mountains and on Kootenay Lake enjoying his passions of hunting and fishing, they also looked forward to sport fishing adventures for salmon on the coast every summer.

He is survived by his wife Heidi, sister Kimberley Tattrie (Bible Hill, NS), brother Kent (Krestova, BC), nieces Samantha Marie Tattrie, Holly June Tattrie, Emma Daley, great nephew Jax and numerous dear friends.

Cremation has taken place.

Celebration of life will be held at the Hume Hotel at 422 Vernon Street in Nelson BC on Saturday April 13, 2019 from 1 pm to 4 pm.

Donations in his memory can be made at the Nelson & District Credit Union to the Ecosense Interpretive Services to assist youth in Kokanee salmon education.
