Tribute
On Tuesday, November 8, 2011 Kurt August Patalla of Kaslo, British Columbia passed away at the age of 87 years. Kurt and Elizabeth moved to Kaslo in 1979 after retiring from the City of Calgary Fire Department. He loved fishing, boating, hunting and traveling the world. Kurt was predeceased by his infant son Eric, wife Elizabeth Anna in 2002, and brother Erwin. He is lovingly remembered by his companion Shirley Lipsack, Sons Robert (Lisa) of Calgary, Gordon (Edith) of Courtenay, BC, 2 grandchildren Karl and Jorden, extended family Tracy (Michael) Fawcett of Calgary and Zachary and Bronwyn. By Kurt’s request there will be no service. Cremation has taken place and interment of his cremains will be held at Fishburn United Church, Alberta. Special thanks to all staff of the Victorian Hospital of Kaslo to which donations may be made to the Hospital Auxiliary Society.
