Linda Louise Chapman
Date of Death: April 4, 2019
Tribute
Chapman, Linda Louise
June 12, 1945 – April 4, 2019
It is with heartfelt sadness and love that we announce the passing of Linda on Thursday, April 4, 2019 in her 74th year.
Beloved daughter of the Late John and Ruth Chapman. Loving sister of Ted Chapman (Maureen). Fondly remembered by her older Sister Jacqueline Chapman Bryden of Toronto, Ontario. Cherished Aunt to Leticia (Scott) Thompson and Sharon (Richard) Santing. Loved by Great nephews Jeff Thompson, Cody and Lukas Santing and Great Niece, Rachel Thompson.
Sorely missed by Linda’s dear friend, Einar Mueller Schade, who together with their beloved Dachshund Schwartzie, were well known figures that hiked and walked the mountains and hills of their Nelson each day – no matter the weather.
Also remembered by many close cousins of the Chapman, Clayton and Laughton families. A special thank you to Cousins, Mike and Georgi Laughton who provided love and support in our darkest hour. Predeceased by Brother-in-law James Bryden and Great Nephew Tyler Santing.
Friends, neighbours and past colleagues of The RCMP are invited to join us for a celebration of Linda’s life on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at St Saviour’s Pro Cathedral 701 Ward Street Nelson, with The Rev. Jeff Donnelly officiating. Visitation beginning at 10:30 and Service at 11:00.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
A beautiful life that came to an end,
She died as she lived,
Everyone’s friend
In our hearts a memory will always be kept,
Of one we loved, and will never forget.

Linda was my secretary for 4 years when I was Officer Commanding Nelson S/Div RCMP. She was a highly dedicated public servant who always had my back in taking care of business at times when I was away. I remember Linda as a good friend and a kind person who’s presence on earth will truly be missed by many. My condolences to her family in their loss. Rest in Peace Linda.
