Robert Ejnard Pickering -April 10, 1929 – Sept 7, 2016
Bob passed away at Kootenay Lake Hospital after a short illness at the age of 87. Predeceased by his parents Bob and Gerda Pickering, Granite Rd, Nelson BC.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Gladys (James), son Jim (Donna), his brothers Gordon (Pat), and Jerry, nephew Tracy and niece Leah, cousin Bruce (Vicky), and many friends and relatives.
He spent his career working at the Department of Highways and Imperial Oil. He was active in Nelson Minor Hockey, Little League baseball, woodworking and especially helping others.
Many thanks to the support of all the hospital staff, a special thanks to Dave and Linda Brown and Dr. Kevin McKechnie.
