Sylvia, I am not sure if you would remember me. We were neighbours in the ’50’s when you and Arnie and your parents lived at Crescent Beach auto court and we lived nearby. You looked out for me going to school on the bus, etc. when I was in grade 1. I went to your and Roy’s wedding. You looked like a fairy tale princess. Please accept my condolences on the loss of Roy. Sincerely, Shirley Karasz (nee Sodlosky).

Dear Sylvia, Sandy & Gord, Rick & TLee, and all the kids,
We are so very sorry for the loss of your Dad/Grandfather and we will miss his visits to the lake where he and Norm “insult” each other. May he rest now and have a peace that all of you can share. Big hugs to each of you. Our thoughts have been with you throughout this whole holiday season!

Sylvia, we are so sorry. We go back a long way – and know what a dreadful loss this is for you. Now that Roy is at peace- we hope you can find peace as well. It’s been a long road for you. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your family.

So sorry Sylvia and family for your loss. He was a great guy. Lots of fun. I remember babysitting for the children while you went to hockey games to which all of you enjoyed. We r still the uphill gang.

Sylvia, Rick and Sandy,
I was very sad when mom told me Roy had passed, but then my head was filled with many memories of endless rumpus room parties, times up the lake and long weekends in Spokane. We miss our dads, but we can rejoice that they had good, fun, fulfilled lives. And I like to think the party is still going on upstairs with them.
