Roy Mills
June 7, 1928 - April 28, 2016
Tribute
Roy passed away on April, 28th with his wife Carole at his side. It was too soon yet it was time and Roy was
prepared. Aside from Carole, Roy leaves behind his daughters Rita and Jane and five siblings in England.
Living life to its fullest was important to Roy and those who knew him respected his straight forward
approach to life. Roy was a very intelligent man enjoying the art of discussion particularly around the
topics of politics and history, although nothing was off limits. A whimsical discussion of the true colour
of the sky would be as welcome as a critique of the Green Party. You could always count on his keen
sense of humour being interjected to any subject. Being a friend of Roy’s was an honour and privilege.
A gentleman in the finest tradition has left the building to have a long overdue scotch with Christina
Mary. By request there will be no service but a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers
donations in Roy’s name to the Kootenay Lake Hospital Foundation would be a fine recognition of the
exceptional care provided in his final days.
