Thompson Funeral Service Ltd. Staff send our condolences to family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

From: Mary (Howay) Harris
Relation: School friend

I attended SDCI with Ruth Ann; we had many good times – a grade 13 pyjama party at her family home is a fond memory! Also Ruth and I spent two weeks one summer at a ‘dig’ on Georgian Bay near Penatanguishine, it was run by the anthropologist Dr. Wilfrid Jury. We dug up bits of Indian artifacts and gained 10 pounds thanks to the force-feeding of the extremely hospitable (non-english-speaking) French Canadian family with whom we were billeted.
Since I have lived in Vancouver (or West Vancouver) since 1965, it’s too bad our paths didn’t cross here. I’m glad she had a happy life, I remember her as a kind, interesting person.

From: Becky Banks
Relation: She was the caregiver for my Gran.

Fiona was an amazing woman. She was brought into our life when she took the job of caregiver to my Granny (Betty) in Riondel BC. She became my Gran’s best friend. For that we were, and are truly grateful.
I wish I could have expressed my gratitude to Fiona years ago. I hope this message finds her family members.

She made the last years of my Granny’s life amazing.
