From: Shannon Moses
Relation: Good friends

Seron and I met so many years ago I was 15 when I met him. Our group of friends always hung out pretty much every day. He was such a goof-ball and most the time a wonder to be around. Never a dull moment when he was around that’s for sure.
We started dating on my 16th birthday and continued to be with each other for about two years. I met him in Vancouver and was trying to finish school out there but it was getting really difficult, Seron told me about a school where he grew up in Nelson and that he was moving back out there with his mum. I moved in with him in Nelson with his wonderful mother and made our lil home for the time being. He was my best friend no matter what happened, he always stuck up for me and made me laugh when I was crying .Even up to his last day we kept in contact helping each other out.
My best memories with Seron was always going hiking in Nelson and him being him as most of us know a dork running jumping falling and getting dirty but just plan ol having fun! Or when he got hit by his favourite car and they guy offered him a settlement but Seron just asked if he could have a ride and he got his wish :).
I will always cherish his friendship more than anything and his family who took in a complete stranger and made me one of them. This is one of the hardest things i could ever imagine happening. My love and support goes out to his beautiful mother, family and friends.
May you rest now Seron and watch over us. I love you!

Thanks for always being a good friend to me Seron you were a great man and loved by many I’ll see you at the crossroads. You will never be forgotten

From: Grant Bracken
Relation: Bestfriend

I met Seron quite a while before we actually became friends, but I always acknowledged that he was without a doubt a one of a kind guy. He was always full of energy, always smiling, always bouncing around and acting goofy. Then out of nowhere we started hanging out and soon became very close friends, I feel blessed for that. Seron was very honestly one of the bestfriends I’ve had in my life, and he will live on in my heart and spirit forever. I have a hard time believing any young person has ever given as many crazy memories to those that knew them for them to hold and never forget. He was one of the few people I have ever met that truly lived his life like he knew it could be his last day. Unfortunately Seron with his crazy antics and abrasive attitude was very poorly misunderstood and even disliked by many during his years in Kaslo. I can say however though that I was one of the lucky people blessed with the opportunity to get to know him for who he was. On the inside, he
truly was one of the most sensitive and caring people I have ever met. I remember when another young life was lost a while back in the Kaslo area that was good friends with Seron I went to console him. I went down to see him, and he was drinking beer by himself in his room and obviously quite distraught so I talked with him for a
while, and then he proceeded to bury his face on my shoulder and let his tears soak my shirt for probably close to an hour. Say hi to everyone up there for me, Love ya!

I met Serons’ mom Lissa first when i started working with her at Ainsworth and As i got to know her and spend time with her i came to love her. So funny, strong and independent. At Ainsworth i also met Serena who introduced me to Seron and her group of friends. Lisa spoke so highly of her kids when we were at work and after i met Seron i understood why. She raised a great son who was a goof with such a good heart. I have more memories with Lissa then i do with Seron. I didn’t get enough time with him but what i had were usually pretty funny, never a dull moment! My heart breaks thinking of Lissa being tested so deeply with this loss. My love and energy goes out to his beautiful mother, family, friends and everyone else affected by loosing him far to soon. May he rest now and be a guardian angel.

Relation: My Bestfriend

I met Seron through friends when I was about 13 yrs. old. He was alot older than I was, but that never seemed to make a difference. We always had this connection him and I, this super unique connection that I’ve never felt with anyone else ever. He knew me better than I knew myself at times. We used to say that he had the male version of my name that’s how similar we were haha 🙂 I remember the first time I brought one of my good friends Micheal to Serons to meet him and the rest of the crew for the first time, everyone was partying and being super obnixous so we went into the other room to talk. Seron came into the room at one point and just blurted out that me and Micheal were going to end up being together ! At that point we had just started hanging out so it was kind of embaressing. But man did Seron ever know me better than I thought because right after that Micheal and I ended up falling in love and dating for months. I miss having that relationship, he could always make me feel safe. We brought out the crazy in eachother. I’ll catch you on the flip side love ! Take care of your Mama Ser Bear, I am trying my best though. Forever my Bestfriend.

I first met seron running down the kaslo hill. My mom and I were picking up offsales at the bar. I told my mom to pull over and give him a ride. Shortly after that we became very good friends at school later that year. We got along great and started refering to each other as brother. He taught me how to take a joke without flipping out. Running down the street slapping and tripping each other. We were like kids at play. Lissa took me into her blue house in Kaslo as if I was one of her own. I was on the street at that time so I was extremely grateful. Living with seron was legendary. Always a smile and a big heart. We would fight here and there but always saw through it. He always had my back and I had his through thick and thin. After moving to Salmo we hung out alot. Floating down the Salmo river sippin on vodka on a sunny day. When introducing me to people he knew he said i was the first person he met in kaslo. If i was leaving salmo he would ask me to stay for another week and i was more than happy to do so. The last conversation we had was over the phone. Someone asked if they could use his phone and he said give me an hour i’m talking to my brother. That was rewarding to hear that. For the most part I will always cherish the legendary times we shared together. He was definately one of a kind. I can honestly say i will never have a friend like seron ever. Until we meet again goodbye brother and best friend. I will always remember you. Peace

Seron and I had some dissagreements, but he was there no matter what. He taught me how to stand up for my self without being mean. He was the only one I had to talk to after I fell apart and moved into the woods, we had so much fun out there at the Duncan Lkae Forrest Recreation Site where we lived for some time. I’m gonna miss him everyday…

Relation: He was my Brother in Law

With a heavy heart I am here at home thinking and listening to music and tears falling. I so wish I could have made it to nelson today for Seron’s Service. Unfortunately reliable wheels and funds have stopped me from making it there. I am sending many hugs, positive thoughts and prayers to all of Seron’s Family and Friends. Seron was one of a kind person, they def. broke the mold when they made him. a heart of gold. a caring person. would have gave the shirt off his back if needed. sure he had his downside on life but dont we all? Seron was one that lived life like there was no tomorrow. In the time that I knew him he was a barrel of laughs. life of the party always with a big goofy smile on his face. arms and legs flying as he danced around with the music cranked. many memories for all. I am still having a hard time with his passing. He is with Shara and they are both watching over all of us. Every person that met both of them now has a special angel up above. Rest Easy Shara and Seron. Will be Forever Loved and Will be Forever Missed
