It is with profound sadness as well as a solemn sense of relief that we announce the passing of Shirley Helen Price (nee Hoffman) at Nelson Jubilee Manor on Monday February 24, 2020. Shirley was 87.

Shirley was born in Regina Saskatchewan on November 4th, 1932 to Carl and Rose Hoffman, the family moved to Toronto when Shirley was a young age and there she attended St Josephs college school for girls. Mom was a very loving and kind hearted woman, A devoted wife and mother. She always put family first. Mom had many interests but particularly enjoyed gardening, cooking and shopping. Mostly though mom loved being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, their joy and happiness lifted her spirits and brought out that infectious smile that we all knew and loved.

Meeting Shirley helped me find my identity and roots. She was a happy, spritely lady that would go to DQ with me anytime. I didn’t know her for very long, but we found joy in one another. Shirley wasn’t reluctant to call a spade a spade.
