We wiill miss one of our favourite aunts. Aunt Shirley was always so fun to visit. She was a lovely, kind woman who was always entertaining. I loved all her stories. Rest In Peace Auntie.

Truus and Randy, we are thinking of you and remembering Shirley with her lovely smile and very funny sense of humour. She was an amazing woman and Balfour will just not be the same without her. You are so lucky to have had her love and companionship for so long; we hope those happy memories will remain with you forever. Janice and Ken

Hi Truus and Randy, please accept our thoughts and prayers. Shirley was quite a lady! We enjoyed her visits to the greenhouse. We chatted about flowers and gardening, while we loaded her motorized cart with her finds. We chuckled when she said her purchase would keep her busy for a while… until she found another “hole” in the garden, and then she’d be back! It’s a nice memory, sharing with her, and watching her come and go down the drive way. I’d like to think she is now planting in the garden of heaven! We’ll be thinking of you.

Dear Truus and Corey,
We have learned of your mother’s passing and wish to offer our sincere condolences to you and your families. Shirley was a good friend to my mother, Jeanie Ryley, and a companion in Christian Science. She has asked me to write to you at this time. Jeanie has fond memories of staying with Shirley in Balfour one summer when the rest of us hiked into Kokanee. We had hoped to reconnect with Shirley this past summer at Queen’s Bay when we celebrated Jeanie’s 100th birthday. She was missed at the party!
